Medieval Ring

Medieval Ring

Handmade gold plated sterling silver ring set with natural bloodshot sunstone, inspired by medieval rings from the 14th-15th century.

Best for ring size US 7 - 7.5

Rings were the most popular type of jewelry worn by men and women during Medieval times. Most people liked to wear rings on almost all their fingers including the thumb. Rings symbolized status, prosperity and wealth. Since there was a great demand for rings, jewelers created a plethora of styles and designs. Gemstones were constantly being discovered and incorporated into these rings.

During the later Middle Ages, a scalloped bezel design was created, featuring an elaborate, flower like structure.
