Oyster Locket

Handcrafted in sterling silver, this one-of-a-kind locket takes the form of an oyster and is set with a sky blue topaz marquise that appears through a small opening on the front, like a watchful eye peering into the world.The piece was originally hand carved in wax before being cast in solid sterling silver, then carefully refined and finished by hand with a soft satin matte surface. The locket opens to reveal a sleeping figure within, where the stone becomes part of the hidden interior landscape. A sterling silver chain necklace is included.
 
At the centre of Dreamland rests a breathing oyster. It opens and closes around a sleeping figure held in perfect stillness. This locket translates that image into a wearable vessel, carrying the dreaming self within. Here, dreams gather, drift, and take shape beyond the demands of waking life. It speaks to the part of ourselves that remains untouched beneath expectation and experience, where memory, instinct, and imagination continue to unfold. Sheltered within the oyster, the dreaming self remains peaceful, unguarded, and whole.
 
Only one Oyster Locket exists, and it will not be recreated in this same form. As the central work within the Dreamland collection, it translates the dreaming self at the heart of Dreamland into a wearable form. Its sculptural form, opening mechanism, and hidden interior were developed through an extended process of carving, casting, construction, and hand finishing. Created to endure beyond seasons and trends, it is intended as a personal heirloom, a collectible work of art jewelry to be worn, kept, and passed from one generation to the next.
